Steve Jobs said this during his commencement speech at Stanford University on June 12, 2005.
The full paragraph is: "Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary".
I find this sentence essential. And if you think about it, whatever you do, some will agree and others will criticize you! So isn't it better to be criticized for doing what you wanted to do rather than being criticized for doing what others wanted you to do?
