- HOOKER 1 -
All Season
Prostitution is as old as human cities, which says a lot about our priorities. In Mesopotamia and ancient Greece, it was well tolerated, even linked to religious rituals (so-called “sacred” prostitution). In ancient Rome, it was a legal but socially despised activity. In the Middle Ages, the Catholic Church condemned it morally… while tolerating it in practice, because it channeled “male urges” (Hypocrisy version 1.0). Today, it has become an ideological battleground. Some countries legalize it (e.g., the Netherlands), others penalize clients (the Nordic model), and still others prohibit it. In short, there is no consensus!

The aesthetics of prostitution are no accident. Appearance (short clothes, heavy makeup, heels, etc.) accentuates simple biological signals like youth, fertility, and above all, sexual availability. It's basic, almost mechanical. The human brain, especially the male brain, picks up on it very quickly. No need for poetry.
From a market perspective, it's a transaction. Therefore, visibility is key; you need to attract attention quickly and differentiate yourself. This leads to an amplification of sexual codes. It's marketing, but with a focus on the human body.

The leopard/panther print coat has become a quick visual symbol of “wild” sexuality, amplified by decades of cultural clichés and simplistic representations (sexualized woman + flashy outfit + animal print). This isn't a universal reality, just a convenient image that society recycles because it avoids thinking about it more deeply. Moreover, leopard/panther print is anything but subtle. It instantly catches the eye. So it fits well with a logic of being noticed without any prior philosophical discussion.
Some men associate these patterns with a dominant or available woman, uninhibited sexuality, and a “fantasized” role rather than a real person. Again, this isn't true, just a deeply ingrained mental construct.

Paradoxically, this highly stylized approach also creates a protective barrier. Prostitution becomes a role, the prostitute a character who dons a work costume. Her true identity is masked, which offers (some) psychological protection in an activity where the body is central.

I must admit I particularly appreciate the little adrenaline rush that comes with this type of shooting, usually done in urban areas, at night, or by the roadside.
