Makeup is very ancient, probably used since prehistoric times to practice shamanic rites, funerary cults, or fertility cults. Some have made it an art form in its own right. I'm far from mastering the mysteries of makeup, but I'm still offering to share with you some basics that have allowed me to avoid a lot of problems.
