Postures in Yoga

In Sanskrit, the term for a posture is Āsana. The oldest depictions of āsana were found in the ruins of the city of Mohenjo-Daro, in Pakistan, founded 3,000 years BC. Āsana also refers to a position promoting concentration and then meditation in hatha yoga.

On the one hand, there are so-called dynamic postures whose aim is to maintain the physical body and balance the energies on the seven levels of the being (They generally present certain difficulties and must be mastered progressively). On the other hand, there are so-called static postures whose aim is to capture cosmic energies through the centers of force and to invigorate the being, generally in moments of meditation.

Posture Sheets

As agreed in the pedagogical approach of this site, I will gradually provide you with detailed descriptions of the exercises to be done. Furthermore, it is possible in the future that I will have to do these exercises with more intensity or in special outfits as punishment. These special sessions will be filmed and their public access will be part of my punishment.
